Give Birth in a Positive Way

What could be better than walking into pregnancy, labor, and postpartum feeling prepared and full of joy? As part of your birth team, my goal is to help you feel safe, held, and loved. I am here to offer encouragement and reassurance, answer your questions, and help equip you for the many unknowns in the journey.

“Remember this, for it is as true and true gets: Your body is not a lemon. You are not a machine. The Creator is not a careless mechanic. Human female bodies have the same potential to give birth well as aardvarks, lions, rhinoceri, elephants, moose, and water buffalo. Even if it has not been your habit throughout your life so far, I recommend that you learn to think positively about your body.”

Birth Classes and Doula Support

Having support in your journey can lead to a more positive birth experience. Allow me to be your guide with education and in-person support. Investing in your family doesn’t ensure that everything will go perfectly, but it does ensure that you won’t go at it alone. I have ten years of experience in walking alongside families through the mountains and the valleys of pregnancy and labor.

Are you looking for ways to enjoy your pregnancy or how to prepare for a positive birth? Do you know where you want to have your baby or how to plan for postpartum? Let’s work together so that all of your questions are answered. I am here to help you confidently move through your journey as a new parent.

About Emilie

After a less-than-ideal journey into motherhood, Emilie’s first birth was everything she needed it to be: empowering, beautiful, and redemptive. It was just a few hours after birth that she knew she had to focus her life on helping other families bring their babies into the world in a positive way. Emilie became a certified birth educator later that year (in 2014) and is a certified birth doula, with additional training in breastfeeding and Spinning Babies. Emilie has two miracle babies and some of her favorite things include Jesus, her family, iced coffee, gluten-free muffins, and sunshine.
